Nexus 2016 rumors have been consistently revealing the leaked specs, features, and pricing of the upcoming Nexus 2016 smartphones that are codenamed as Marlin and Sailfish. Both the smartphones are expected to be announced by September end.

The Marlin smartphone is speculated as flagship device. Hence, it will be coming with a full metallic chassis and 5.5-inch Quad HD screen. The Sailfish smartphone is expected to either house a 5.2-inch or a 5.5-inch screen that will deliver full HD resolution. It will be sporting a polycarbonate body.

Even though the Marlin is said to be a flagship device whereas the Sailfish will be an upper midrange smartphone, both the smartphones are rumored to be fueled by Snapdragon 820 or 821 chipset and 4 GB of RAM.

Both the phones are expected to be available in two storage versions of 32 GB and 6 GB. These phones may not arrive with a microSD card storage.

The Marlin and Nexus phones will be sporting a 13-megapixel camera on the rear panel. The front side of both the phones will have 8-megapixel. Both the smartphones will come with more common features like rear-facing fingerprint reader and a USB Type-C port.

Speculations are rife that Nexus Marlin and Sailfish will not come loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat. However, they are excepted to bring along Android 7.1 Nougat OS.

The HTC Nexus Sailfish is speculated to be equipped by 2,770 mAh battery. However, the HTC Nexus Marlin will include a 3,450 mAh battery.

In the previous year, the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X smartphones were announced at the end of the phone. In the same way, the Nexus 2016 smartphones are pegged to get unveiled at the end of September. The HTC Nexus Marlin and Sailfish smartphones are likely to be available for purchase by October.

The Nexus 2016 price of the 64 GB variants are not available yet. However, the 32 GB variants of Nexus Marlin and Nexus Sailfish are expected to cost $449 and $599, respectively.
