Nexus 2016 is arriving in August? Here are the details

Google fans are were expecting new Nexus device at the company?s annual developer’s conference. The company didn?t release any statement regarding the launch of an upcoming device. However, several reports indicate that Google would release a new Nexus device in August.

The company has recently released the fourth version of the Android N to its developers. Google is supposed to release its new operating system this summer. According to Christian Today, the company could launch Android N along with Nexus 2016.

Moreover, the recent drop in the price of the current Nexus 5X also indicates that the new device would be released soon. Online retailers like Amazon, eBay and Daily Steals are offering $50 to $70 discount on the current Nexus phablet. The company could be thinking to clear the stock before the launch of new device.

There are rumors that Nexus 2017 will be available in three variants. Both Huawei and HTC could manufacture the devices for Google. The device by Huawei is supposed to be the upgrade version of Nexus 7 tablet. According to PhoneArena, Huawei has already confirmed that it will make Nexus device for Google.

General Manager of Huawei, Charlene Munilall said, “The Nexus product is a very niche product? the techies love it but there?s a very small number of people that buy it. Hence Cellucity only brought 300? into the country?The operators generally don?t take up the Nexus device. That said, the distributors, our open market, do bring in the device, that?s how Cellucity got it? and that will still be the same this year. We?re doing the Nexus again this year, by the way.?

On the other hand, HTC is also rumored to manufacture devices for Google. These devices are supposed to be dubbed as S1 ?Sailship? and M1 ?Marlin?. In another report, PhoneArena says that one of these devices could feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset.

There is nothing clear about the specs of the upcoming device, but it is highly likely that Google would release Nexus 2016 with a pre-installed Android N.
