Despite previous rumors that Microsoft is not contemplating on a new version of the Xbox One console, dubbed as the Xbox One Slim, this may be the time to believe that somehow it may happen. According to VentureBeat, the upcoming E3 event is expected to feature several Microsoft surprises from Xbox One titles to Xbox One Backwards Compatibility games. But the greatest news rumor is the expectation of a slimmer Xbox One console to be featured on the event.
The Xbox One Slim kaunch may finally happen this June and who knows, will it hype up Microsoft?s console and eventually surpass its rival PS4 console? Not only that but Microsoft had several revelations in the past that may make it to the event. Some of these features include:
- Big third-party co-marketing deal
- Xbox One Scorpio
- Xbox streaming stick and boxes
- Dead Rising 4
- State of Decay 2
- Forza Horizon 3
- Sea of Thieves
Meanwhile, there are confirmed titles coming up at the E3 event and they include ?Halo Wars 2,? ?Gears of War 4,? ?ReCore,? ?Cuphead,? ?Minecraft? and Crackdown 3.? Meanwhile, TheBitBag mentioned that any information about the Xbox One Slim and PS4 Neo as well as their comparative specs will be featured at the event.
What are the chances of Microsoft introducing an all new Xbox One Slim? Afterall, Xbox?s big boss Phil Spencer previously mentioned that the company is not interested on incremental update on the console, instead they want a one time overhaul. In his statement, he said ?I?m not a big fan of Xbox One and a half. If we?re going to move forward, I want to move forward in big numbers, I don?t know anything about any of the rumors that are out there, but I can understand other teams? motivations to do that. For us, our box is doing well. It performs, it?s reliable, the servers are doing well. If we?re going to go forward with anything, like I said, I want it to be a really substantial change for people ? an upgrade.?
