The North American International Auto Show in Detroit is well under way. And despite unveiling of the latest breathtaking beautiful and efficient cars including Porsche 2017 vehicles, Playmobil’s Porsche 911 Targa 4S mini version might just steal the spotlight from them. It looks so good you’d want it on your desk asap.
The new Porsche 911 Targa 4S follows the same suit of the Porsche 911 Carrera S that Playmobil launched back in 2016. Just like last year’s miniature version, 911 Targa 4S is naturally a kid’s toy, so expect it to survive the rough play. However, this doesn’t mean Playmobil didn’t pay any attention on the details.
The Porsche 911 Targa 4S Replica
It measures 12 inches in length, big enough to put your Playmobil figures in front. It has the exact contours and curves of its real-life model, up to the 5 point hubcaps. And just like their 2016 Porsche model, the 911 Targa 4S also has headlights that are LED-illuminated, three AAA batteries and a dashboard. The batteries are placed beneath the car and is activated by a button, per gizmodo.com.

Obviously, the car’s toy version doesn’t have any raw horsepower to boot. But if you’re cool enough to come up with a steep ramp and fuel your imagination, you can easily replicate the real deal’s 4.2 second 0-60 acceleration time.
Just like the real Targa 4S, a roof section on the Playmobil toy can be removed to make it into a pseudo-convertible. This is another way to put your Playmobil figures inside the driver and passenger seats because the car doors on the mini version are permanently shut.
The toy also comes with an entire showroom with signage, furniture, and even a miniature TV with its promo video. There’s also a mechanic, a salesman and info display stand with the toy car’s specs. The toy retails for $45 which a real steal compared to the $122,600 price of the genuine vehicle. So for those who’ve always dreamt of having a Porsche but still doesn’t have the dough to shell out, this is definitely the next best thing.
