New Mini FamiCom Release Details; Watch Commercial To Get That Nostalgic Feel

By on

Nintendo is joining the bandwagon of retro gaming, featuring the revamped version of the old FamiCom that this generation is very familiar with. The Family Computer or FamiCom is a Nintendo initiative that hopes to bring classic games to players. A mini Famicom commercial is also released; sending a sense of deja vu to Nintendo players and fans. The commercial, as you can see below, features the same aspect as its original version in 1983.

Fans who wish to try the mini FamiCom will get at least 30 games in total to play with the device. Just like the old model, the mini FamiCom features 60 percent smaller size than its original version. It will also follow the conventional plugging of the device to a television or other monitors via HDMI cord.

Unlike the original version of the FamiCom, the mini FamiCom?s games can be saved. Gone are the days when you need to leave it on in order to continue your game the next day. According to the Anime News Network, up to four games can be saved in the all new mini Family Computer.

The new system has already shipped in Japan last November 10 for the price of 5,980 yen or US$59. As early as July, the NES was introduced to its North American consumers, but did not shipped until the 11th of November 2016.
