Bad news everyone, the upcoming Hitman game won?t be arriving this year.
The sixth installment on the Hitman game franchise will not push through on its original December release, this was according to the latest post from the Hitman website that the new Hitman game; simply called Hitman, will move to a March 2016 release date. This is what the developers say about the delay:
“These few extra months will mean we can add more to the launch content of the game, more than we had originally planned, and then follow with a tighter frequency of updates, which ultimately will create a better game for everyone. And in the end, that?s what we?re all looking for.
Moving a launch date is never an easy decision, we know it?s frustrating to have to wait a bit longer for the game, but we truly believe it will mean we can deliver a better launch and overall experience.”
IO Interactive, the developers of the new Hitman game, also shared an image to compare the sheer size of the level players can expect. It was compared to the previous Hitman Resolution game where the largest level in that game; the Street of Hope was compared to one of the levels (take note, not the largest) in the new Hitman; which is the Paris- The Showstopper level which is six times larger than the largest level in Absolution. Also shown in the image is the potential number of Contract Mode targets, with 50 on Absolution and 300 on the new Hitman. Contract mode is a feature introduced in Hitman Absolution where players can create custom missions and share it with other players online. Players can set a specified target along with its restrictions to make the missions more challenging.
Expect Hitman to arrive on March 2016 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC
