Just a few weeks after its release, developers of GRID Autosports, Codemasters, have already announced the upcoming content for the racing game.
Players who have bought the Season Pass are becoming impatient to see what?s in store for them from the developers. Now, Codemasters has broken the silence and reveals what we can expect from the game in the following months.
There will be three Car Packs that will be released soon:
- Best of British
- Coupe Style
- Road & Track
Codemasters did not give any specifics on when these packs will be released.
We can also expect mini-expansions including new single player championships, tracks, routes, and cars in each of these themed packs:
- Sprint Pack
- Touring Car Legends Pack
- Drag Racing Pack
The mini-expansions will come with other new content as well. Codemasters confirms that the DLC?s will all be available before October of this year. Aside from the Season Pass on PlayStation 3 and PC, these will also be available separately across all platforms.
The game will also be undergoing several patch changes to improve the gameplay. One of the features that will be added is the virtual rear view mirror, which will be available soon on the PC.
The team is also said to be working on advanced controller options which will be available to all peripherals, regardless of whether or not they are supported. Although the team admits they are not yet certain on how these controls will work on some, the options will still allow players some degree of control over these peripherals.
Aside from the new content above, Codemasters will also be tweaking the playlist rotations. This is due to some feedback from the players saying that some circuits were not making appearances. As a result, players can expect to see more GP routes appear and an increase to the number of tracks available to each discipline. This would ensure that all locations will make an appearance across a number of disciplines.
GRID Autosport is a racing-simulation game developed by Codemasters. It was released last June 24 and is available on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
