According to a report, Apple is planning to launch a 4-inch iPhone, dubbed as iPhone 5se, new Apple Watch models, and iPad Air 3 at an event in March. The reports come from a source that has a reliable record, claims NDTV.
The 4-inch iPhone 5se is the successor to the iPhone 5s, nullifying the previous rumors of iPhone 7C and iPhone 6C. The iPhone 5se is being introduced for the customers who don’t want a large display. 9to5Mac reports that the phone will be named as the iPhone 5se.
Apple is scheduled to launch the iPhone 5se (se stands for special edition) and a new Apple Watch ?at its March event. As per previous speculations Apple Watch 2 will be launched in September which would have major hardware improvements and design changes alongside iPhone 7. The event will also see the launch of iPad Air 3 reports 9to5Mac, but it also states that plans could change later.
Unlike previous reports, the 4-inch iPhone will boast features which was seen in iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S. The device is said to have a curved glass similar to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S smartphones. iPhone 5se will be powered by A8 SoC paired with M8 motion coprocessor. The motion coprocessor was last seen on the iPhone 6. The smaller iPhone also includes connectivity features, such as support 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and VoLTE.
Another report suggest that an 8MP rear camera from iSight and a 1.2MP secondary camera with FaceTime feature. The camera will also have the sensor combinations as previously seen on the iPhone 6. It is also speculated that the new iPhone may have larger panoramas and autofocus for video recording, Live Photos, an NFC chip that allows users to have a secure payment through Apple Pay. Live Photos is one of the feature which is exclusively available on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
Word comes that the iPhone 5se will arrive in Silver, Space Gray, and Rose Gold colour combinations.
