NBA Trade Update: Cavs Vs. Warriors Deals As They Gear Up For Third Finals Rematch

By on

The offseason has been surrounded by several NBA Trade rumors circulating in the league and the latest involves the defending champions Cleveland Cavaliers and the 2016 runner-up Golden State Warriors. With both teams making huge decisions, it seems likely that the two will once again meet in the Finals next summer.

After they managed to comeback from a 1-3 hole to bag the very first championship of the franchise, the Cavs is sure to work hard to defend their title come next season. With a lot of player movements, Cleveland is looking good as they signed once more most of the players that helped the team reach the Finals last season.

As of now, the Cavaliers have their stars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, alongside Tristan Thompson, Richard Jefferson, Iman Shumpert, James Jones, Channing Frye, Dahntay Jones and Mo Williams. Also, the team have Kay Felder, Mike Dunleavy Jr., Chris Andersen and Sir?Dominic Pointer as their latest additions.

Meanwhile, star forward LeBron James has not re-signed with the Cavs yet. But there is really nothing to worry about because he will definitely sign a deal with the organization and try to defend the crown.

On the other hand, the Golden State Warriors have been the talk of the town since they signed all-star forward Kevin Durant. Also, several NBA Trade rumors were sparked as they try to build a formidable bench to support their starters. The starting lineup of the Warriors includes reigning MVP Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Durant, Draymond Green and Zaza Pachulia.

Their bench players include Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston, Anderson Varejao, James Michael McAdoo and Ian Clark. Also, the organization managed to acquire talents like David West, Damian Jones, Kevon Looney, Patrick McCaw and Dave Fedor. However, it seems like they are still not finish as reports suggest that the Warriors are pursuing David Lee.

Lee was asked earlier this month if he would consider coming back to Golden State and he said, ?we?ll see what happens.? That certainly intrigued the fans and sparked the speculation that negotiations between both parties have been ongoing. If he would sign with the Warriors, Lee is going to be a great addition to the roster especially now that they lack effective big men.

With the current state of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors roster, do you think they would again meet in the Finals next season? Share your thoughts in the comment section below. Stay tuned on TheBitbag for more NBA Trade Updates.
