Among the players, who has been linked in trade rumors, is the Chicago Bulls? Jimmy Butler. The Bulls dealt away the face of its franchise Derrick Rose this offseason which signaled that a rebuild may be on its way.?Butler has then been the subject of much trade speculation early in the offseason and now it appears that he is still on the trade block, as reported by CelticsBlog.
There have been a number of teams who are trying to get the services of Butler. For one, the Minnesota Timberwolves have been making a strong play to acquire the shooting guard. Former Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau really likes Butler and would want him to join his new team. According to Sports Illustrated, the T-Wolves have reportedly offered point guard Kris Dunn, the fifth overall pick in this year?s NBA Draft, for Butler but was rejected by Chicago.
With the recent news that Dwyane Wade will be signing with the Bulls as well, it will be interesting to see whether the team will still look for a Jimmy Butler trade with other teams. With a roster composed of Wade, Butler and recently acquired veteran PG Rajon Rondo, the Bulls could think twice at dealing Jimmy considering that they could have a potential playoff team on their hands.
