NBA Trade Rumors

There have been many intriguing NBA Trade Rumors over the past couple of months, and it does not seem to be slowing down anytime soon. One of the teams who have been involved in these rumors is the Philadelphia 76ers. Now, they have been linked to a new rumor and that is a trade involving one of their big men being sent to the Chicago Bulls.

Jahlil Okafor had a very decent rookie season last year. While he did not win the NBA Rookie of the Year award, he did prove that he was a very capable big man in the NBA. Unfortunately, the addition of new rookie sensation Ben Simmons has created a logjam at the forward spots in Philly and Okafor could be the odd man out. That is the reason why he is reportedly on the trade block.

In their hopes of freeing up some playing time for Simmons, recent news has surfaced that Okafor could be on his way to Chicago. According to Sportsrageous, one possible trade that Philadelphia could make is a swap of Jahlil Okafor for some of the Bulls young talent.

The report cites that Doug McDermott, Denzel Valentine and Bobby Portis are all candidates to be involved in the trade. These three players certainly have a lot of potential and could very well be reliable players in the league.

Out of the three, McDermott seems like the best fit for the Sixers. The team does not have any reliable shooters at the moment aside from Nik Stauskas and Robert Covington. The addition of McDermott will certainly work well with Simmons handling the ball, as he can have a scoring threat on the wings that he can pass to.

On the other hand, Jahlil Okafor would fit well with the Bulls. The young forward can help fill in the void caused by Pau Gasol?s departure. He can likewise have a good shot at making the playoffs with Dwyane Wade and Rajon Rondo coming onboard this past offseason.

There is still no word yet on whether the Bulls and Sixers are indeed going to pull the trigger on this trade. Be sure to check back soon to find out more about this developing situation.
