NBA Trade Rumors 2016: John Wall To Pelicans?

By on

The Washington Wizards is off to a bad start in this season of the NBA. As a result, there are NBA trade rumors claiming that their star point guard John Wall is growing impatient. Should that be the case, the all-star guard might demand for a trade to play with a different squad.

As of this writing, the Wizards are sitting at the 13th spot in the Eastern Conference with a 2-8 win-loss record. They are tied with the Miami Heat (2-8) following the Philadelphia 76ers (2-9). Now, Wall is leading his team with an average of 22.3 points and 8.3 assists per outing, but still it is not enough. If this would continue throughout the season, he might look for another team to form a super duo.

Speaking of, Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans is in a situation similar to Wall. His team is at the bottom of the Western Conference with a 2-10 record. It is despite averaging 30.5 points and 11.2 rebounds per game. Now, it is safe to assume that Davis is just one great supporting cast away from becoming a force in the league.

It is pretty clear that Davis and Wall need a better roster for them to reach the Playoffs. If Wall would land on the trade block, the Pelicans might actually be a great team to join with. Also, Davis and John Wall would immediately form a power duo that will surely be recognized by other teams.

However, other NBA Trade Rumors suggest that Wall is going to join the Sacramento Kings. Just like Davis, there is another big man there suffering from a poor supporting cast and it is no other than DeMarcus Cousins. The all-star big man has an average of 26.6 points per game that goes along with 8.6 boards per outing.

If Wall would join Cousins and the Kings, he will be an efficient point guard that would direct their plays into perfection. But, there are also doubts that the two star will have the chemistry that will lead them to the Playoffs right away. It might take some time before they can finally play effectively, but still, it is worth a shot.

For now, take these information with a grain of salt for they are just fan-based speculations circulating the internet. Let us wait for official announcements coming from the teams involved. Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
