Facebook has become such a huge part of our society. Not only does it help connect people to each other, it has invaded our businesses and hobbies too. Take for example the upcoming game between the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings. While the game may be an ordinary regular season game, it will actually be the first time the NBA will stream the game live on Facebook. There is a huge catch though.
The game of basketball is certainly one of the world’s biggest sports. It has become popular in almost every corner of the globe and India is certainly a country where there are countless hoops fans.
To watch NBA games live outside the United States, sports fans would usually need to have an NBA League Pass subscription. Well, that is unless the NBA team you are rooting for is owned by an Indian- American businessman.
NBA to Stream Warriors vs Kings Game Live to Facebook
According to Recode, NBA fans in India can enjoy the live stream of Sunday’s Warriors vs Kings game. This is thanks to the Sacramento King’s Bollywood Night event, something which the Kings owner Vivek Ranadive has introduced over the past couple of years.
Ranadive grew up in India and is very proud of his heritage. To help bring basketball to new heights in his home country, Ranadive and the Kings has an in-stadium promotion for the viewers in India.
Facebook users in India will be able to stream the game live without any commercial breaks. This will allow them to see the game exactly as what viewers in the stadium enjoy it.
This would mark the first time an NBA game will be streamed onFacebook live. It is still unconfirmed if Facebook paid the NBA to stream the game but it is certainly a great project to help promote NBA basketball in the country.
While the game will be exclusive to India for now, we may see more NBA games live on Facebook before long. Be sure to check back here soon to find out more news and updates on the NBA Facebook live stream as well as on other trending topics in the world of sports.
