NBA 2K developers will surely release this year the next installment of the popular basketball game. NBA 2K18 will probably hit the stores in the last quarter of 2017. Obviously, it will bring new features and modes in the game. But of course, one of the much-anticipated things in the title is the new lineup it will sport. So, without any further ado, here are some of the key details you need to note.
Gamers of the NBA 2K know that there are previous teams or lineups available in NBA 2K17. The Showtime Lakers is included, the ‘95-’96 Chicago Bulls, Allen Iverson’s Philadelphia 76ers, and even the ’12-’13 Miami Heat showcasing LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade, and Ray Allen. In the next installment, gamers are expecting a lot of these teams in the game.
Included in a personal wish list is the ’09-’10 Los Angeles Lakers. The 2007 Cavaliers is available in the game so there should be no reason why developers would not include the Lakers team that did a back-to-back Championship seven years ago. That lineup would include Lamar Odom, Andrew Bynum, Derek Fisher, Pau Gasol, Meta World Peace, Trevor Ariza, and the legend, Kobe Bryant.
Another lineup that should be included is the ’10-’11 Chicago Bulls. It was the year the Derrick Rose, who was 22 years old at that time, became the youngest NBA player to receive the Most Valuable Player award. The team roster had Joakim Noah, Carlos Boozer, and Luol Deng. They were a powerhouse team in the Eastern Conference before losing to the Heat in the Conference Finals.
LaVar Ball In ‘NBA 2K18’
With the recent rumors he got involved into, fans definitely want to see LaVar Ball in the next installment of the NBA 2K series. For those who have no idea who he is, Ball is the one who mentioned he can beat Michael Jordan in a one-on-one match. The controversial athlete then went on saying his skills can also put Charles Barkley down in a basketball game.
But it did not stop there yet, in a recent interview in the show First Take, Ball also stated that his son Lonzo Ball will have an impact on the Los Angeles Lakers better than Magic Johnson did in the ’80s.
These vulgar statements from Ball prompted some fans to want him in NBA 2K18, probably in the Blacktop mode. Developers should also bring Michael Jordan in the mode as well as other retired players so they can go one-on-one with LaVar Ball. Through that, gamers will finally have the liberty to beat Ball with Jordan, Barkley, LeBron James, Stephen Curry, or Magic Johnson.
However, keep in mind that all these information are just part of fan-based speculations. The 2K team has yet to reveal any information about NBA 2K18 so let us just wait for further announcements. Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
