On Twitter, NBA 2K Game Director?Mike Wang is currently answering fan queries regarding the new update. The patch notes make no mention of changes to shooting, but several fans have told Wang that they feel release timing is off after the update. He denied these claims, stating that shot mechanics are the same as they were in update 1.05.

He also clarified how the patch changes several dribble animation transitions. ?Some moves were ?cheating the ball bounce,? allowing you to chain into moves earlier than you were supposed to,? said Wang to a couple of fans on Twitter. He also said that ?Transitions should be more realistic now and less twitchy.?

This is the sixth major update to hit NBA 2K17 since it launched two months ago. When it released, the game was plagued by the infamous shot meter glitch that made hitting jumpers a chore. That issue has since been resolved, but the fanbase now has a new issue they want remedied.

Recently, several players have been complaining about ?speed boosting,? the practice of chaining certain dribble combos together to gain a burst of speed. When pulled off correctly, defending it is almost impossible and usually results in an ankle breaker.

On Reddit, several players have confirmed that it is still possible to pull this trick off in update 1.06.?For more NBA 2K17 news and updates, keep it right here on TheBitBag.
