Huge changes are coming to NBA 2K17 MyPark. The multi-player mode will be receiving a fresh coat of paint, thanks to some new enhancements and features. Let?s sift through what?s been revealed so far to find out exactly what we can expect.
NBA 2K17 MyPark After Dark
Perhaps the biggest addition is the all-new ?After Dark? mode. According to Operation Sports? Steve Noah earlier this month, the new feature will introduce online dunk competitions and three-point shootouts into the mix. In After Dark mode, MyPark will also receive a presentation overhaul. The setting will be transformed into a street party complete with DJs and lighting effects.
New Badges and Matchmaking Overhaul
MyPark?s matchmaking will be receiving some tweaks in NBA 2K17. According to Noah, the new system will be tuned to create more balanced matches. This is to avoid the age-old problem of rookies getting constantly torched by more experienced players. Some new MyPark specific badges will be added as well. Expect more info on that soon.
Mountain Dew 3X Tournament
Another cool new feature is the Mountain Dew 3X Tournament. Think of it like a Royal Rumble for pickup basketball. All participating teams are locked to a particular park and duke it out until one is left standing.
On Twitter, NBA 2K community manager Ronnie 2K said that the biggest changes to the mode will come after launch.??MyPARK iterates after launch (think Events/MyPARK championship/verified players in past years) so trust me when I say big things are coming,? read his message.
Judging by his statement, we?re assuming that 2K Sports has plenty of content on deck to keep the mode fresh throughout the NBA season.?What do you think of these additions? Are you hyped for NBA 2K17 MyPark? Let us know in the comments below.
