NBA 2K17 Badges Tips: Should You Play On Rookie Difficulty?

NBA 2k17

NBA 2K17 officially hits the court tomorrow, September 20. As always, the first priority for many ballers will be to start the long grind toward unlocking the game?s many badges. Like previous installments, getting a badge to hall of fame status will require some considerable work.

Earn NBA 2K17 Badges Fast On Rookie Mode

If you want to speed up the process, you can fall back on the age-old trick of playing on Rookie mode. If you?re confident with your skills, you can of course opt to play the game at whatever difficulty you want. However, the requirements for each badge won?t scale if you crank the game down a few notches.

Certain badges, like the Deadeye perk, require you to hit contested shots for you to unlock them. In these cases, some players do recommend playing on higher difficulties so that the opposing AI defends you more aggressively. It?s really up to you and what you?re comfortable with.

In NBA 2K17, a select number of badges can be upgraded to Hall of Fame level based on your player?s archetype. For example, a Playmaker can only boost passing-centered badges like Dimer, Lob City Passer, and Flashy Passer to HoF status.

Once you?ve pinpointed the badges you want for your preferred playstyle, earn the bronze tier quickly by playing on Rookie mode. Afterward, spend your VC to upgrade them to the gold tier. Once you?re at this level, all you need to do to get a badge to Hall of Fame is repeat whatever conditions were required for the bronze level.

That?s pretty much all there is to it. If you got the game early by pre-ordering, we suggest you start working on this right now. For more NBA 2K17 tips and tricks, keep it right here on TheBitBag.
