Nashville Season 5 is coming soon on CMT after the show was cancelled by ABC. Numerous fans made their voices heard, and CMT responded with a fifth season of the critically acclaimed musical series.

Fans rejoice as news broke out that the series found its new home on CMT. The network?s president Bryan Philips said, as reported by ComingSoon.Net, ?CMT heard the fans. The wave of love and appreciation they have unleashed for ?Nashville? has been overwhelming. ?Nashville? is a perfect addition to our evolving line-up of big music specials, documentaries, and original series. We see our fans and ourselves in this show and we will treasure it like no other network. Nashville belongs on CMT.?

The upcoming fifth instalment will also be available for streaming 24/7 on Hulu after it airs on CMT. ??Nashville? has long been a fan favorite show on Hulu and we are so proud to continue to make new episodes available for fans to stream the day after they air,? Craig Erwich, Hulu SVP and Head of Content said. ?We look forward to bringing even more episodes of this acclaimed series to its passionate and devoted audience.?

While Kevin Beggs, Chairman of Lionsgate Television Group, one of the series? producers said that CMT and Hulu?s partnership is the perfect combination for their iconic and beloved series. He also expressed his gratitude to the ?#Nashies? for their unwavering support and to the State of Tennessee, City of Nashville as well, where the series is being filmed.

Nashville follows the lives of Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton) and Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere), set in the city?s music scene. Both women are faced with personal and professional challenges as they make their journey as artists in the music scene and as individuals trying to navigate their way into the world. They are surrounded by friends, family, sometimes lovers, and new artists and songwriters as well.

Musicians in Music City see the city in different ways?some are driven by their creativity and passion, while others struggle with success by doing everything they can to stay on top.

A release date for Nashville Season 5 has not yet been confirmed, as Premiere TV reports, but expect CMT to release 22 episodes which will also be available for streaming on Hulu a day after its TV airing.
