Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road To Boruto Release Date: What You Should Know

By on

It seems like the DLC rumors were true. Bandai Namco has announced Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4: Road to Boruto. This is the main game that was released this year, but with all the DLC plus the new Boruto campaign. Fans who purchased the original game have nothing to worry about since the Boruto campaign will be released as DLC.

This announcement also confirms that the previous DLC is no longer a pre-order exclusive. Overall, fans of the Naruto anime and manga have a lot to be happy about. It’s doubtful anyone would complain about extra content for the fighting game. This might just be the best Naruto game out there.

Release Date

Fans will be able to download the Boruto DLC next year, on Feb. 3. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4: Road to Boruto costs US$19.99, making it the most expensive add-on content for the game. It also seems like it will not be free for those who purchased the season pass. That definitely sounds disappointing, though the extra content might not hurt.

For the first time ever, players will be able to play through the events of the Boruto movie. This is one of the reasons why the DLC is expensive, but it seems like it’s worth the price. Furthermore, the DLC will add more characters to Free Mode. The only confirmed ones are Boruto and Sarada, who were the aforementioned pre-order DLC.

Since the campaign is based on the movie, the villain there might also be playable. It’s definitely one thing fans will appreciate in the game. Having more characters is something beneficial for the game, especially when it comes with an extra campaign. It’s not clear how long the story of Boruto will be, but it will likely be longer than previous DLC.

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4: Road to Boruto will be out on Feb. 3, 2017. Saiyan Island has stated that the DLC will be the only one coming to the West. It seems like only Japan will get the definitive version of the game with all the DLC, until Bandai Namco clarifies this. The DLC will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
