The first 10 minutes of Naruto Storm 4: Road to Boruto has been released, and fans will like it. As most fans know, this DLC expansion will be retelling the Boruto movie in game form. Players will control Boruto as they venture around the Hidden Leaf Village and beyond while also meeting new characters.
Fans have seen some Road to Boruto gameplay before, but this is different. While other videos showed off gameplay and characters, this will showcase Boruto?s Adventure Mode for the first time. This should be a great primer for the Boruto anime series, as Naruto?s son finally gets his time on the spotlight.
Before the adventure starts, Naruto Storm 4: Road to Boruto has players control an adult, Sasuke Uchiha. Naruto?s former rival has to take on a mysterious foe in the snowy mountains, and it is a breathtaking sight. It?s a shame that the villain won?t be playable. Bandai Namco previously confirmed that only Boruto, Mitsuki, Sarada, Adult Naruto and Adult Sasuke will be playable.
While the player will face off against a number of new characters in the game, these fights will be exclusive to the new Adventure Mode. This disappointed many fans of the Boruto film and they?re still hoping Bandai Namco will change their mind regarding the move. That seems doubtful, since this will likely be the last DLC pack that Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 gets.
The Not So New Hidden Leaf Village
Players familiar with the adventure mode of previous Ultimate Ninja Storm games should feel right at home here. Naruto Storm 4: Road to Boruto has the lead character going around the village, talking with villagers and doing a few quests here and there. Sadly, we don?t get to see Boruto take on a story mission in the video provided by Anime Games Online.
Road to Boruto is slated for a February 2017 release and will be available for US$19.99 for those that bought the game. Those that haven?t bought the game will be able to do so, as Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 will get a re-release that comes with all of the DLC, including the Road to Boruto expansion.
