Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4: Road to Boruto is a game many fans are excited for. The expansion will add Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki to the roster of playable characters. We will also see adult versions of Naruto and Sasuke join the fray. However, there are also a number of characters that won’t be added.
According to Saiyan Island, we will not see the main villains of Boruto ? Momoshiki and Kinshiki ? in the playable roster. They won’t be the only ones omitted either, as characters like Yurui, Shikadai, Metal Lee and the adult version of Konohamaru won’t be playable as well.
Roadblock To Boruto
This confused many because players can fight them during the story mode. Most of the story mode characters in the base game ended up being playable, so this is disappointing. Bandai Namco later explained that these characters could only be fought in the Story Mode. Making new character models for the game is fairly difficult and turning them into playable characters is even harder.
Still, it’s disappointing not being able to play as these characters in Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4: Road to Boruto. After all, the characters have their own moves and models in the story mode. While this could always change, fans will have to accept that they won’t be playable. Here is hoping that the developers change their mind, since more fighters in the game is far from a bad thing.
The Way Of The Ninja
Despite all of these, there’s a good chance that Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4: Road to Boruto will be a good game. The base game that came out this year was already pretty great, with an eventful story mode filled with battles and cutscenes.
Road to Boruto should be an exciting expansion pack and looks to be worth the US$19.99 it’s worth. Fans that didn’t pick up the game yet can wait till February, as the game will be re-released with all of the DLC, plus the Boruto expansion. While it could have used those cut characters, this is still a great purchase for anime fans.
