It looks like the Road to Boruto expansion won’t be the only thing Naruto fans have to look forward to. Bandai Namco has announced that a new Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 update would be coming. This free patch will add some multiplayer-centric features to the game, in addition to support for the Boruto expansion pack.
Bandai Namco has confirmed that the Road to Boruto expansion will detail the whole Boruto film. This is a neat addition to the game and should breathe some new life into the Ninja Storm title. New characters have also been confirmed, like Mitsuki the ?son? of Orochimaru. Overall, the expansion and the free update should please many Hidden Leaf Village fans.
Why it took Bandai Namco this long to make a Spectator Mode is a bit head scratching. Still, it’s nice to see it come in the new Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 update. Players won’t just wait for their turn to fight anymore, as they can view the matches of others. Fans of the game’s online modes will appreciate this.
Spectator Mode has been a common staple in fighting games, so seeing this finally come to the game is great. It might not excuse having this take so long, but at least it’s finally here. Fans have been wanting this for quite sometime, so they should enjoy this.
8-Player Endless Mode
The Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 update will fix the Endless Mode. Currently, the mode only allows 4-player tournaments, which is alright, but not great. When the update comes out, it will increase the number of players that can participate in these tournaments from four to eight.
Unfortunately, these improvements will only come out when Road to Boruto comes out in February. The patch will be released, so the game will support the US$19.99 expansion pack. With a new story mode and characters coming in February, it will likely be a big update.
Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is available now on PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC. The game will be re-released in February with all the DLC, plus the Road to Boruto expansion.
