Naruto Movie Live Action Hollywood Adaptation Update: Michael Gracey To Direct; Series Creator Takes Part In Production

Several fans remain excited for a Naruto movie, especially when it?s a live action Hollywood adaptation. Artist turned director Michael Gracey is expected to lead the production. Latest reports about the project are positive and it seems more developments are coming.

It was previously reported in 2015 that Lionsgate and Gracey will work together to bring a Naruto movie. Fans of the hit manga series are surely delighted about the news. It seems it will really push through as the subject came up again at the big Jump Festa event.

A ?Naruto and Boruto? stage event was held at Jump Festa. At the event, staff assured fans that a Hollywood film adaptation of Naruto is already in the works. It was also confirmed that Gracey is still involved in the project. Another piece of good news is that series’ creator Masashi Kishimoto will also take part in the production of a much awaited Hollywood Naruto movie.

Naruto Movie Confirmed

Lionsgate is a company known for bringing films like Hunger Games, Twilight and Divergent. With Gracey and Kishimoto?s participations in the film, Hollywood Naruto movie will most likely be a huge success.

Avi and Ari Arad will reportedly produce the Hollywood film adaptation of Naruto through Arad Productions. The ones that were set to oversee the production for Lionsgate include Erik Feig, Geoff Shaveitz, and Kelley O?Malley.

Weekly Shonen Jump magazine ran the Naruto manga from September through November 2014. A total of 72 collected volumes are out. There was even a final book for the manga series released in February 2015.

The manga inspired two anime adaptations. The titles are Naruto and Naruto Shippuden. The first Naruto ran from 2002 ? 2007. Naruto Shippuden, on the other hand, started in 2007 and is still up and running today.
