In the last decade, Naruto has been known as a hit manga and anime series from Japan. It is not only popular in its country. It also has fans from different parts of the world. The anime is still ongoing, but the main Naruto manga ended serialization back in November 2014. Two years since the manga has come to an end, Naruto creator Mashashi Kishimoto is yet to reveal what the next big thing for him is going to be.
Kishimoto recently appeared for an interview for the forthcoming issue of the Japanese magazine Shueisha’s Jump GIGA. The creator revealed that he is already planning his next project. Kishimoto also said that he had started with his research. Fans were excited when he teased that he is going to announce more details about his project soon. It could be sometime this year. The creator was not able to provide an official release date, as well as a release format for his new work.
At this year?s New York Comic-Con, Kishimoto earlier revealed that the project that he is currently working on is some kind of science fiction story. At least, fans have a major idea of what the next big hit from the creator will look like. He was not able to provide specifics about his project, and yet the majority remains excited about it.
Aside from his project that is yet to be revealed, Kishimoto has been busy with a number of tasks after the end of Naruto. Some of his works include one-volume sequel manga Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring. He was tasked to take on the role of a chief production supervisor on Boruto: Naruto The Movie, a spin-off about Naruto’s son. He also looks after the Boruto manga that began earlier this year.
Amid his busy schedule, the Naruto creator also managed to take time to rest. Notwithstanding the details, fans of Naruto are surely looking forward to see whatever comes next from the brilliant creator.
Meanwhile, the Naruto anime continues with more than 500 episodes. Even though the manga has ended, Naruto will always be in the hearts of loyal fans.
