Narcos Season 2 is just around the corner and the producers never fail to tease the fans with several clips that will make them want to see the installment as soon as possible. Now, the recent teaser released by Netflix is certainly huge as it features the first 11 minutes of the season. See how a troop of soldiers rattle their knees as they face the drug kingpin.
It was Thursday when the network decided to post the clip through Facebook live for the world to see. The video contains the encounter between the squad of Pablo Escobar and a group of soldiers, wherein they were trying to stop Escobar from getting past them.
?Mr. Escobar. I?m sorry, but we?ve been ordered to not let you through. We have to take you into custody,? said a soldier. Pablo takes a step as he says, ?Son, I?m sorry to say, unfortunately, I can?t allow that to happen.? After the short exchange of words, the drug kingpin and his squad walk casually through the soldiers, which would indicate how scared even the soldiers are of him. Here, watch the full teaser.
Meanwhile, speaking of Narcos Season 2, it has already been confirmed that it is going be the last season of Pablo Escobar as confirmed by the actor who is portraying him, Wagner Moura. ?This is definitely the last season for me. This is the season where we?re going to start to see the fall of this guy. We?re going to see Pablo Escobar very vulnerable,? said Moura in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
However, contrary to the prediction that his death would mean the end of the show, series creator Jose Padilha revealed that the show is ?not about Pablo.? Although he happens to be the man who created the business of cocaine trade, the show is still about drug dealers that deal cocaine, not just the founder alone.
?I think there?s a reason why we call this show Narcos and not Pablo Escobar. It?s very much about the trade. There are other drug dealers and there are alliances formed against Pablo so there are a multitude of stories we could tackle,? added by executive producer Eric Newman.
With all these statements, it is clear that there are a lot of things set to happen in Narcos Season 2. What other things do you expect in the upcoming installment? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
