Narcos Season 2 May Be The Last Due To Escobar’s Death, But Season 3 Can Continue With Cali Cartel

By on

Narcos Season 2 will feature the death of Pablo Escobar–its central character. If you are not familiar with the show or Pablo Escobar, he was a drug kingpin in Colombia who became filthy rich off the production and distribution of cocaine. He just might be the wealthiest criminal in history being the head of the Medellin Cartel. According to Celebrity Net Worth, he has an estimated net worth of $30 billion. Also, what?s true is that he died trying to escape the Colombian National Police; and his death is reported to be portrayed in Narcos Season 2.

News has it that the death of Pablo Escobar played by Wagner Moura has already been filmed for the season. Also, a statement from Eric Newman, producer of Narcos season 2, stated that Escobar?s death is inevitable this season. But will this stop the show as its main character will be killed off? Will we not see a Season 3 of this wonderful Netflix original? Crossmap thinks otherwise.

Crossmap thinks that the show will continue sans Escobar. Eric Newman also stated that they can continue the show without the lead as there are many things that happen in the drug world that is beyond Escobar. Season 2 will likely feature the fall of Escobar and his Medellin cartel and the rise of the Cali Cartel.

But as reported by Crossmap, the producers and the people behind the show have not committed yet on how to proceed with the show. But is there a possibility that the show would continue on with the rise of the Cali Cartel? Would this be the new center of attention?

The Cali Cartel was a drug cartel that had its base in southern Colombia. The Cali Cartel also does not lack the interesting personalities that can drive a show. Founders such as the Rodriguez brothers and Jose Santacruz can power the show. Should the producers go with this? Well, it?s not a bad idea. But from the things are going, it looks like Season 3 will continue without Pablo Escobar. This could be a good refresh, too.

What do you think? Should they continue on without Escobar or should they just fold it up while they are on top? Leave your thoughts below.
