Mr. Robot mobile game

The Mr. Robot mobile game has just been launched and yes, it?s based on the hit TV psychological thriller, Mr. Robot. The new game, published by Telltale, is packaged to appear like a fictional corporate messenger platform for E.Corp. The app is actually called Mr. Robot: 1.51exfiltratiOn.ipa, and is available for both iOS and Android.

The game is set in real time while telling the story of the series. The object of the game is for players to communicate with colleagues and hunt for data that can uncover evil within the company. Night School Studio, composed of Telltale and Disney alumni, developed this Mr. Robot mobile game. They are also the ones who created the adventure game Oxenfree.

?Ever since Mr. Robot burst onto the scene, fans have been looking for new ways to immerse themselves more deeply into its story and overall experience,? said Universal Cable Productions executive vice president Richard Rothstein in a press release sent to GamesBeat. ?This game does just that, giving players a chance to interact with the series? characters on a journey only possible in the world of Mr. Robot.?

According to the game?s description, the game begins with the player finding a smartphone on the ground outside the Fun Society Arcade at Coney island. This phone belongs to Darlene, a black hat hacker, who is about to commit the biggest cybercrime the world has seen but needs her phone back to do it. In the game, the players would be using the E-Corp messaging app to communicate with the other characters in the show in real time. How the story flows would be entirely up to the player, while dialogue choices are made. Kind of like a Choose Your Own Adventure, but more hi-tech and exciting. The key is that the hi-tech narrative drama will be driven by you.

The good thing about the Mr. Robot mobile game is that you don?t require an Internet connection once downloaded. There are also no in-app purchases and no ads.

It?s a premium game though, and costs $3 on both iTunes and Google Play. But that?s a small price to pay for a game that lets you experience the cyber hacking world of Mr. Robot.
