Next-generation smartphones, tablets and the interesting?Pokemon GO gaming app managed to steal the focus of tech enthusiasts in the past couple of months. Smartwatches and smartbands were not in the agenda. But now, news about possible successors of the?Apple Watch and the Android counterparts are starting to make waves. In the meantime, the Motorola Moto 360 smartwatch has been discounted like never-before, and we are expecting a powerful successor sooner or later.

EBay has listed the?Moto 360 smartwatch for just $99.99, while the original price used to be $299. However, this promotional deal is applicable only for a limited period of time. At the time of writing this post, only the ?Light Metal? variant is available on discount.

This device is apparently selling like hot cakes. Because, so far, a total of 1,825 units have been sold by the prominent seller ?Guarantee Cellular,? which enjoys a 97.6 percent positive rating on eBay. And, as always, eBay offers free shipping service with the purchase.

The Motorola Moto 360 is one of the first smartwatches to feature a ?round dial/watch face.? As you know, it?s technically very difficult to perfect the round dial. This is very true especially when it comes to reading through the watch face. Round dials are known to cut the words of paragraphs abruptly due to spacing issues. However, Motorola perfected this aspect in its smartwatch. Not to forget, even Apple Watch comes with a square dial to save all the trouble.

This timepiece comes with a bunch of sensors including a heart rate monitor. The storage limit in this gadget is 4GB and the device casing has a diameter of 46-mm. Software-wise, this device runs Google?s Android Wear OS out of the box.

The Moto 360 is IP67 rated for water and dust resistance. This smartwatch can endure immersion of up to 1-meter of water for about 30 minutes.

Speaking of key specifications, this smartwatch carries a 1.56-inch Backlit LCD display, complemented by 320 x 290 pixels resolution and protected by Corning?s Gorilla Glass 3. This display combination translates to a pixel density of 205 ppi. And the internal configurations are backed by a good-enough 512MB of RAM.

Motorola has equipped the device with a 320mAh battery cell to help keep the lights on. The company website says this battery will be able to provide up to 24 hours of charge after a full recharge. To top it off, the Moto 360 can be wirelessly charged.
