Moto X 2017

Motorola is going to release a 2017 version of their Moto X. It is currently one of the much-anticipated phones this year although details about it are yet to be confirmed. Based on rumors, however, the handset cannot go up against other flagship phones for it will only fall on the budget-friendly class.

Before we get into the specs of this phone, let us talk about its release date first. As of writing, there are no official words yet as to when the handset will hit the stores. Numerous speculations are circulating online but Motorola has never confirmed any of those. On a good note, TechRadar reported that because the phone seems to be ready, it might arrive sometime this spring or summer.

Similar to its release date, Motorola has not disclosed any information yet regarding the handset’s price. The publication then noted that it could be slightly more expensive than the Moto G5 Plus. Should that be the case, then consumers should at least have $229 to get their hands onto the smartphone. However, keep in mind that these are just rumors surfacing online. So, better take these information with a grain of salt.

Moto X 2017 Features

As of writing, there is very limited information available online. Leaked photos reveal a few of the handset’s key features including a dual camera setup. Those shooters are wrapped with circular ring which is strikingly similar to Moto Z. Christian Post then revealed that a dual-tone LED flash is also a part of the phone’s specifications.

Other than that, Moto X 2017 will also sport a 5.5-inch HD display alongside 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal memory. What is disappointing, though, is that it will not boast the latest Snapdragon processor. Instead of a Snapdragon 835, which most of the upcoming phones will use, Motorola’s handset will only feature the Snapdragon 625 processor.

This setback on the smartphone’s processor could be the main reason why it would not be a huge hit. Several reports claimed that consumers would be turned off by the Snapdragon 625 processor. Plus, it is definitely the reason why the phone cannot go up against other upcoming flagship handsets.

How about you? What do you think of the Moto X 2017? Do you think these specs are enough to impress consumers? When do you think its official release date is? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
