?You?re next?. Another iconic two word line comes out in a form of a much awaited game, which used to be shrouded in mystery. Thanks to Ed Boon, Mortal Kombat X?s announcement was more than a big surprise. Now, it?s time to ?Get Over Here!?
The announcement of the game came out in the form of a trailer that clearly shows that all the teaser and puzzling tweets from Boon in the previous weeks were all pointing to this exact game, Mortal Kombat X. While the trailer looks like it is something from the actual gameplay footage of the upcoming game, ?neither WB or NetherRealms confirmed this, and they chose to remain quiet about what we?ll be seeing in the real game. Why are we not surprised here?
The game, fortunately, will make its way on E3 next week, so we would be getting more information on what exactly this game will be and if this trailer shows the actual gameplay. If it is, this could be the best fighting game that shows what a fighting game should look like in a next-gen console.
Speaking of next-gen, Mortal Kombat X will be launched on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, but for last–gen console owners, they need not to worry if they haven?t purchased or have any of these aforementioned consoles yet, as the game would also be released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as well. The game is scheduled to be out in stores in 2015, so there?s pretty much enough time to save up to see the game?s glorious spectacle on stronger platforms.
If what we can see in the trailer is related to the actual gameplay, it?s safe to say that the iconic weapons per-character will be back, along with the X-ray vision on certain attacks like it was on the 2011th reboot of the series.
The description in the trailer video says “Fueled by next-gen technology, Mortal Kombat X combines unparalleled, cinematic presentation with dynamic gameplay to create an unprecedented Kombat experience.”, so we can safely say that Mortal Kombat X will be bringing in some serious next-gen fighting action, that we need to look out for soon.
