To his surprise, Kombat Pack 3 ranked the highest and Mortal Kombat XI garnered the least votes among the three. Now, it looks like Boon will give fans what they want.
As avid gamers would know, EVO 2016 will be on July 15 through 17. Many speculate that this is the time and place where Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack 3 will make an appearance. Gamers would anticipate some changes in the Kombat Pack 3 but also, they are expecting more guest characters to grace the DLC. But what characters would Boon and his gang add next? Or better yet, what kind of characters would make it more interesting? Well, in an article by Game Informer, Boon sounded enthusiastic about adding more horror characters and maybe even creating a standalone horror-themed fighting game.
Mortal Kombat, through the years, has witnessed many characters coming in especially from horror movies. Freddie Krueger from Nightmare on Elm Street, Jason Vorhees from Friday the 13th and Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. So, in the horror-themed vein, who do you want to make it in the Mortal Kombat x Kombat Pack 3 DLC?
We have three. Leave your comments if you agree.
Chucky brings creepiness to another level. Of course, being a doll, people would find that it is intrinsic to its nature but being a cute evil doll is what makes him perfect for Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack 3. He could come in armed with various weapons to wreak havoc on his enemies. His fatality? We?d leave that to the capable hands of Boon and his gang.
Pinhead brings a noble charm that is eerily mixed with just pure evil. Pinhead would easily fit in Mortal Kombat X given his goth bondage look and, of course, all those pins on his head. Imagine him and Chucky battle to the death? Or he could take on his 80s contemporaries Freddy Krueger and Jason Vorhees. That would surely be epic. His fatality? Well, it could be bondage-themed. It?s hard to imagine Pinhead pulling some high-flying Kung Fu move.
The cannibal doctor would pretty much fit right in the Mortal Kombat universe. He has this sense of charm that can blindside his opponents. This can be translated into some stun-move in the game. He, as seen in the movies, is quite an able man when it comes to one-on-one combat. It?s easy to imagine him strongarming the likes of Scorpio and other characters. His fatality should involve some flesh-eating. What else could there be?
That?s our three horror-themed characters for the next DLC. What?s yours?
Stay tuned for Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack 3 updates.
