As previously said, people have a fascination about living in a total wasteland. While there were scares of nuclear fallout if the former Soviet Union and the US decided to duke it out back in the 50s, 60s, or 70s, some people were secretly fantasizing about it.

Perhaps it?s got something to do with the concept of being the last man or woman on Earth, so to speak. What will humanity do when the land is reduced to a mere waste? Will they finally cooperate with each other, or will they, like animals, pounce upon each other, therefore succumbing to nature?s very design for us in the first place: survival of the fittest, the Alpha dogs will inherit the land, and so on and so forth.

You don?t have to go through actual nuclear winters and fallout weather to experience this. Fallout: New Vegas gives us a glance at a dystopian future where humanity?s wars have finally come to a thundering climax and they finally use their weapons against themselves. Now, what are you going to do in a wilderness that?s surrounded by mutates from the ensuing fallout?

Here are some mods that will expand your Fallout: New Vegas experience:

-????????? Weapon Retexture Project ? WRP, Millennia

This mod goes well with the WMX mod for Fallout: New Vegas. It aims to give the in-game weapons a more realistic feel, down to the detail of the gun; the way it shines when the sun hits it as well as the way the bullet shells fall out. It also adds a lot of add-ons to the vanilla weapon, such as accurately described parts. If you?re a fan of accurately designed guns and weapons, then you should go out and get this mod.

-????????? New Vegas Bounties, Someguy2000

The first in a series of mods designed to give Fallout: New Vegas players something to think about, New Vegas Bounties pits you against the vilest personalities of the wasteland. As a bounty hunter, you are tasked with taking your targets out using whatever methods necessary. Be prepared to face major odds, though, as there are a lot of surprising difficulties you are bound to run into. That?s the life of a bounty hunter, anyway.

-????????? Kyung-Bum Lee?s More Perks

Have you ever finished New Vegas and thought that maybe something was lacking in it? That?s right, you may feel hampered by the lack of perks, or the perception that they simply aren?t enough if you?re someone who was biologically imprinted to excel. Enter this mod, which adds a whole lot more to the game?s already supplied perks.

-????????? ThatModTeam?s Open Broken Doors

As a nuclear-ravaged wasteland, Fallout: New Vegas has lots and lots of doors that are broken beyond repair. Behind these doors, you can see cabinets that are just waiting to be inspected; however, you cannot open the door, even if you can see the room clearly. This mod addresses that problem and provides reality to the open-environment nature of the game. Of course, if the door needs a key, that?s another problem entirely.

-????????? MyGoodEye?s ELECTRO-CITY: Relighting the Wasteland

Have you ever thought that the New Vegas is too dark? How about if we add more lights to the party? This mod solves the problem of having to walk through a dark and dank wasteland, not knowing if mutants are hot on your tail or if any irradiated animal or insect has their eyes set on you for a snack. Electricity returns to New Vegas and the Mojave as this mod lights up dark streets and wasteland paths.
