Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered 1.08 rolled out yesterday, bringing a slew of changes in the game. The update brought new toys, new collection bounties, melee weapon sets, and customization feature. Modern Warfare Remastered 1.09 update was released right after, but its patch notes are basically the same as 1.08’s, except for the text about an increase in server send rate. However, a player said on Reddit that update 1.09 failed to fix the bugs, further claiming that Modern Warfare Remastered is still broken.
According to Redditor u/NetriX88, he has played five matches since the latest 1.09 patch and concluded that “the game is still pretty broken.” He claims that there are still issues in spawning, saying, “enemies are spawning directly behind me.” He also said that killstreaks randomly disappear, which caused him to lose airstrikes several times.
However, other players commented and said that they didn’t encounter any bugs. The Redditor insists though that he didn’t have the spawn issue in Team Deathmatch until the 1.09 patch.
Same Patch Notes
According to PlayStation Lifestyle, the size of Modern Warfare Remastered update 1.09 is 330 MB for PS4 and 440 MB for Xbox One. As mentioned, the patch notes of both updates are similar except for the bit about the server send rate. Lead designer Amos Hodge confirmed that the patch notes are indeed the same. He clarified, however, that the increase in server send rate had been implemented in 1.08; the info was just “accidentally left off the patch notes.”
The patch notes detail a lot of changes in the game, including an expanded Artic Wolf content. A lot of bug fixes have been also implemented, including spawn improvements. However, as previously mentioned, one player has already claimed that it still hasn’t been fixed.
New weapon kit collection bounties have been added, which include Huntsman, Lawman, Battle-Scarred, and Czar. Meanwhile, there are new melee weapon sets, which are Gladiator and Hatchetman. There are also new ranged weapons, namely Kamchatka-12, XM-LAR, and .44 Magnum. Lastly, new customization features are available which include weapon camo sets, calling card sets, emblem sets, and reticle sets.
Besides the numerous additions the update brings, players can also look forward to the Double XP event which will start on February 10 and last until February 13. The special Bloody Valentine weapon camo will also be available until February 16. For more info on the Modern Warfare Remastered update 1.09, check out the patch notes here.
