Virtual reality has become the rage these days. With so many VR headsets launching, such as the Oculus Rift, Playstation VR, HTC Vive and the Samsung Gear VR, it seems like VR has taken over the spotlight in gaming and tech over the past couple of months.
Not that it needs any more help and publicity, but VR is set to draw even more attention especially for Minecraft fans. News have just surfaced that the massively popular game is confirmed to be released on the Samsung Gear VR.
According to a report from Engadget, Microsoft and Oculus has just announced that the widely popular game, which has been dominating in multiple platforms, will be coming to the Samsung Gear VR next. It is worth noting that the Gear VR is not the first VR platform to get Minecraft. It has previously been reported that it will be coming to the Oculus Rift as well.
This recent news is certainly going to be a positive one for gamers who would like to experience Minecraft in VR. There is a very big price difference between the Oculus Rift and the Gear VR, according to Mashable. With the former retailing at $599, the latter is priced at only $99. This means more gamers will be able to play the popular game in virtual reality without having to break open their piggy banks.
Engadget reports that there is still no announcement as to the price of the game for the Samsung Gear VR. Surely, more details about it will be revealed soon hopefully including a tentative launch date for the game as well.
