Looks like Miley Cyrus has a new fan in John Mayer. The Half of My Heart singer took to Twitter Sunday to rave about Miley’s new album, Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz. He started his tweets by referencing some of the lyrics from the song Lighter.
According to E Online, John tweeted saying, ?We never get to see ourselves sleeping peacefully next to the ones that we love,? he tweeted, adding, ?I’m totally transfixed by this Miley Cyrus album.?
He continued to fanboy about her new work, which she performed during her hosting gig on Saturday Night Live this weekend. The 37-year-old performer was in awe of Miley’s new sound and inspired lyrics, which seemed to have stemmed from a place that she didn’t know she had, according to Mayer anyway.
But the Mayer’s gushing adoration didn?t end there. His enchantment with Dead Petz seemed to be too much to handle, and his praise grew even stronger stated ET Online.
This Miley album is amazing. You can’t try to make something like this,? he wrote. ?You just tap the vein and don’t question a single instinct.?
?Self control/ is /not something I’m working on,? Mayer tweeted, quoting a lyric from the song “Slab of Butter (Scorpion).?? ?Sung heroically and melodically. Come. On.?
People?reported, Cyrus saw Mayer’s Tweets, retweeting one and replying: “dude f— yeah!!!!”
In addition to performing two songs ? Karen Don’t Be Sad and The Twinkle Song ? Cyrus hosted the season premiere of SNL.
The 22-year-old surprise-released her latest album for free online after hosting the VMAs in August.
