Microsoft to unveil Xbox Originals on June 2014

Starting June, you will have more reasons to never let go of your Xbox as Microsoft announced today the list of the projects included in the upcoming Xbox Originals program.

The Xbox Originals – premium dramas, comedies, documentaries, animation, unscripted shows, and live events, is available only on Xbox 360, Xbox One, and other Microsoft devices.

Microsoft said that Xbox Original will offer interactive capabilities and unique interactive features which are customized on a per-show basis, to give Xbox users a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience.

?We are developing premium, original content for the Xbox community which is an audience we are incredibly respectful of,? said Nancy Tellem, President of Xbox Entertainment Studios. ?We believe Xbox Originals should embrace the way our fans think about traditional TV.?

Tellem proudly said that Microsoft has brought together the most forward-thinking minds at Microsoft, that?s why Xbox Entertainment Studios is betting on success.

?Gaming is the heart and soul of the Xbox platform, and the objective of Xbox Originals is to bring more value to fans,? Tellem said.

The Xbox Originals lineup covers both scripted and unscripted formats, which are set to release soon, while others are still in the development stages.

Microsoft also said that Xbox Originals would like to provide incentives for gamers, to make the Xbox their all-in-one entertainment device.

Finally, Xbox Entertainment Studios team made it clear that original shows are not a departure, but rather an extension of what Microsoft Studios has been doing for years, with first-party game development.
