Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release is likely to happen in May 2017. Microsoft will introduce the Surface Pro 5 at its annual Microsoft Build developer conference.
Microsoft will take part in the Consumer Electronics Show and the Mobile World Congress. But it will withhold Surface Pro 5 and show off the same device in its own conference in May. At the same event, Microsoft will also release the next version of Windows. Build developer conference will take place in downtown Seattle, instead of its usual San Francisco venue, according to The Verge.
It was believed that Microsoft could not give complete Surface Pro 5 because Kaby Lake processors were not ready. Jan Dawson, chief analyst at Jackdaw Research had also mentioned that Microsoft is waiting for new processors. A couple of months ago, Intel CEO Brain Krzanich officially confirmed that Intel has shipped Kaby Lake processors to PC manufacturers. Intel?s Kaby Lake lineup will include the ?S? SKU for the desktop.
Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will carry a Surface Pen with rechargeable batteries. ?With rechargeable batteries, you?re assuming you are going to have time to charge it before you use it. For us, we believe creativity will strike at any moment and you?ll want to know your pen is going to work without having to plug it in to charge it first,?Microsoft?s brand manager Markus Weickenmeier said.
