The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is one device which many tech enthusiasts have been looking forward to. Many were excited that it will be arriving this year but sadly Microsoft has not given any indication that it will be doing so. That is why many tech lovers have just been holding on hope that the gadget will be released sooner rather than later. If the recent rumors are indeed true, then the wait may not be as long as many have feared as there is a new report that the Surface Pro 5 could be launching in 2017.
According to Ecumenical News, Microsoft may be waiting until the release of Intel?s new Kaby Lake processor and Windows 10 Redstone 2 OS before launching the Surface Pro 5. This means that 2017 is likely the year when the device will finally see the light of day.
Still, there is a chance that the device will be released sooner, although that becomes slimmer after every day that passes. The Verge has reported that when app developer Shubhan Chemburkar visited Microsoft?s building 88 recently he saw the wall photos which showed the different devices which the company released over the years. After the picture of the Surface Book and the Surface Pro 4, there was one spot which indicated a 2016 release with the caption ?coming soon? below it.
While all of these are unconfirmed by Microsoft, surely the tech giant is evaluating carefully as to when they should release the Surface Pro 5. Until then, all we can do is to hang tight and wait for any news of the upcoming launch of the highly anticipated device.
