Microsoft is already working on the Microsoft Surface Phone. Supporting this claim, a few leaked images are making noise on social media.

One Weibo user has shared a few images of the Microsoft Surface phone. He has revealed that the upcoming Surface Phone looks different from other Surface devices. There will be three versions of the phone. The base version will be featuring 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The second version will be a mid-range device with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The third version will be sporting 8GM RAM and 500GB of storage, according to MCRUNCH.

There is more evidence to believe that Microsoft Surface Phone is on its way. Intel CEO Brain Krzanich has confirmed that Intel has sent ?Kaby Lake processors to PC manufacturers. The Kaby Lake lineup will include ?U? SKU and ?Y? SKU for mobile phones. Microsoft Surface Phones will be powered by Kaby Lake processors. It was believed that Microsoft could not launch Surface phone due to the delay in Kaby Lake processors.

Microsoft has already confirmed that it will focus on three customer segments where it can make unique contributions. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has revealed that the business customers will get the best management, security and productivity experiences they need.

?We need more breakthrough experiences, breakthrough hardware to get people to move to Windows mobile OS. It?s gotta be a phone that?s sort of like, ?Wow?,? Microsoft?s CMO Chris Capossella said.

Microsoft Surface Phone will be powered by a 3,000mAh battery. It will feature a built-in QWERTY keypad, USB 3.0 port along with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a fingerprint scanner, and a 20MP primary camera.

A few reports have claimed that Microsoft Surface Phone will pack a 5.7-inch or a 5.8-inch display. However, Terry Myerson, Microsoft?s Windows Chief has teased that Microsoft is committed to having a 4-inch screen.

?We?re fully committed to that 4-inch screen, there will be a time for it to be our focus, but right now it?s part of the family but it?s not the core of where I hope to generate developer interest over the next year. There?s no lack of recognition to realize how important that form factor is, but for Microsoft with Windows and for our platform it?s the wrong place for us to lead,? Windows chief Terry Myerson said.

The price tag of Surface Phone will be between $700 and $1200.
