Microsoft Surface Mini device will come with Windows RT 8.1 as its operating system this June, rumors said.
Microsoft has sent out press invitations for an event ? ?small gathering? – this coming May 20. Rumors believe that on that day, Microsoft will unveil its Surface Mini tablet. Moreover, reports claimed that device will come with Windows RT 8.1 as its operating system, and this mini tablet will be available this coming June.
Rumors also said that the miniature version of the Surface tablet will come with an ARM chipset and will run Windows RT 8.1. Other opinions said that Surface Mini will come with a ?very accurate and high quality stylus? for note taking and OneNote integration on the tablet.
Leaksters said that ?that aside from the ARM chipset and the Windows RT 8.1 operating system, the Surface Mini tablet will come in 10.6 inches display, powered by NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor which houses 2GB of RAM.
?Microsoft has invited press and bloggers to a ?small gathering? in New York City on May 20. As the invite suggests, the firm will finally launch its delayed Surface mini. But I?m told we might also see another surprise at the event,? Paul Thurott of WinSuperSite said.
Additionally, reports said that CEO Satya Nadella will be the one to officiate this event.
“Surface was designed to be the one device for everything in your life. Every Surface offers ports, Office compatibility, and Covers. Whatever you want to imagine, create, and share?Surface makes it possible to do it all,” Microsoft said.
It could be remembered that last September, Microsoft refreshed its tablet line by launching Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2. Microsoft claimed that Surface 2 is the most productive tablet for personal use while Surface Pro 2, the successor to Surface Pro, is a true laptop replacement which is capable of running virtually all Windows software.
The official press release of Microsoft during the launching of Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 proud said that both devices benefit from significant updates, including improvements to processing power and battery life, to display and camera resolution, and to the Kickstand. In addition, ?enhancements in Windows RT 8.1 and Windows 8.1 Pro make Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 even more powerful and customizable.”
