Surface Book 2

The Microsoft Surface Book is one of the most popular products from the software and tech giant today. The 2-in-1 device has been well-received and it is no wonder why many tech enthusiasts are looking forward to the next generation of the device, the Microsoft Surface Book 2.

While many are already waiting for the upcoming device, Microsoft has not really provided much details about it. The Surface Book 2 is reportedly in development at the moment but it has not stopped many leaks and rumors from surfacing. Here is everything that we know so far about the Microsoft Surface Book 2.

  • Design ? With regards to design, Microsoft is reportedly going to fix one of the biggest issues that consumers had with the first Surface Book. According to Express UK, the company is finally going to get rid of the gap in the hinge of the 2-in-1 device. There is a very noticeable gap when users try to close the Surface Book and it means that the device cannot completely be closed. This results in the keyboard as well as the display easily becoming dirty. If the early rumors are true, the same problem will no longer be present in the Surface Book 2.
  • Intel Kaby Lake Processors ? Microsoft plans to beef up the specs of the Surface Book 2 by reportedly powering it with Intel?s upcoming Kaby Lake processors. These latest generation processors will guarantee that the Surface Book will have ultra-fast processing speed for whatever applications and programs that will be thrown at it. The Kaby Lake processors will not become available until the latter part of 2016 which could very well affect the release date for the device.
  • Release Date ? Speaking of release date, so far Microsoft has not given one for the Surface Book 2 just yet. With the availability of the Kaby Lake processors though, it appears that the 2-in-1 device could launch either later in 2016 or in the early months of next year. This could likewise coincide with the launch of the Surface Pro 5 and possibly the Surface Phone.

So far, the Surface Book 2 looks to be a very solid device. With its great specs and improved design, it is surely going to be one of the computers that tech junkies will be watching out for very soon.
