Microsoft opened its first international flagship store in Sydney on Thurday with grand celebrations? that attracted over 2000 people.

The Microsoft Store?is located in West Field,Pitt Street Mall at 188 Pitt St.,?is a impressive two story glass building spread across 6000 square feet. The Store includes retail sales space as well as interactive area to serve customers and business. The Microsoft Store now features the Answer Desk a place for technical questions, troubleshooting and repairs regardless of the device or its purchase place where the staff will help the customers in solving basic problems such as virus removal at no cost. And there is?the Community Theater where the customers can learn how to use the company latest products or devices which has almost 36 video screens in the Sydney Store. The Microsoft Store has 50 member staff from 11 different countries and speaking 21 different languages, 40 of whom will be dedicated to sales and remaining 10 provide support to customers at the Answer Desk. The grand opening of Sydney Flagship Store was promoted by Microsoft thorough giving free tickets to see Jessie J concert to first 750 people. Microsoft donated $4.8 million in software and technology grants to 14 local businesses. Besides Microsoft also offered special deals on its Surface devices and Xbox One consoles and accessories and pre orders for its latest in offering Microsoft Band 2. According to Gizmodo, Microsoft also plans offer home like experience to customers without pressure sales tactics and as well as provide free Wifi access to attract the tourists.

Microsoft had been planning to open its flagship stores since 2009 and had opened its first flagship Store in New York City on October 26 ?this year. Microsoft hopes to build a stronger market in product sales, especially in phone and tablet segment through these retail stores.
