With tons of critics giving perfect scores for MGSV with some?even saying that the game is bigger and better than MGS5: Ground Zeroes, how can Kojima not be excited for fans to play his masterpiece?

?Kept You Waiting, Huh??

According to Gamingbolt, Kojima also expressed his excitement as he posted a photo of a stunning pair of boots along with a popular line from the MGS franchise:

For those who don?t know, ?Kept you waiting, huh? is a popular line from the franchise as Solid Snake uttered it in MGS2: Sons of Liberty and in MGS3: Snake Eater, and MGSV: Ground Zeroes. The line also appeared during the long mandatory installation screens in MGS4: Guns of the Patriots.

According to TheSnakeSoup, the line became famous for subtly breaking the fourth wall.

The line first appeared in MGS2 but it become more popular during MGS3. In Snake Eater, Naked Snake/ Big Boss quipped the line during his Codec conversation with Zero. This became famous here because fans have long awaited to play as Snake again after MGS2 surprised players that they would only be playing as their favorite hero only during the first part of the game. After that, they were shocked that they would be playing with the cartwheeling white haired soldier, Raiden, for the entirety of the game.

The line ?Kept you waiting, huh?? will only appear in the game if players choose to pick the option “I like MGS2” which causes Naked Snake to wear the Raikov mask (a look-alike of Raiden) during the first scene of the game, TheSnakeSoup reported.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain will be released this September 1, 2015 for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.

Countless people have already gotten their hands on the game:
