Many have been wondering if certain scenes shown during the launch trailer of Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain were cut in the final version of the game. The most noticeable scene missing in MGS5 TPP is Venom ?Punished? Snake walking down a hallway in Mother Base as he slowly transforms into Skull Face. It has now been revealed that scenes like this were never planned to be included in the final game.

The missing scenes shown in the trailers were only for promotional purposes, Konami community manager Robert Peeler said per Gamingbolt. Peeler said director Hideo Kojima ?treats trailers pretty seriously? and the scenes ?exist on their own, even while showcasing the game.? Peeler?s statement syncs with Kojima?s tweet where he said that he has personally ?hand-made? MGS5 TPP?s launch trailer with ?sweet memories?.

Hideo Kojima Officially Leaves Konami

Creator, director, writer, and designer of the Metal Gear Solid franchise, Hideo Kojima, has officially departed Konami this October 9, 2015, the New Yorker reported. A departure ceremony was held at Kojima Productions and it was ?a rather cheerful but also emotional goodbye?, an anonymous source told the New Yorker.

Notably absent during the party were Konami President Hideki Hayakawa and C.E.O Sadaaki Kaneyoshi, the source said. The source?however stated that he might have only failed to see the two. Most of the production team in Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain and Kojima?s friends and colleagues from other studios attended the departure ceremony.

Kojima denied to speak why he left Konami because of his ?legally binding agreement?, the report said. Now that Kojima is no longer a part of Konami, will he join Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo? Will Kojima create his own studio or join an existing one?

Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain is available for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
