Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain News: 8 Missing Main Missions Found, Save Corrupting Bug Persists

By on

There are a total of 51 available main missions (including the prologue) in Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain and while it may seem quite a lot on paper, a total of 12 of those were just repeat missions with a higher difficulty setting or an added challenge. But PC users have found out that there could have been eight more missions in the final game as found inside the game?s files.

Via data mining, a Reddit user has found a total of 8 missing main missions in the game, Gamingbolt reported. All of the missing missions have no available data. It is not yet known if these missions could be a part of ?Chapter 2: Revenge? or ?Chapter 3: Peace?. Will Konami introduce these missions via DLC in the future or will they patch-in these missions for free?

Save Corrupting Bug

There has been numerous bugs plaguing players since MGS5 TPP released this September 1, and despite numerous updates Konami released, a particular save corrupting bug still affects PS4 users. According to Design & Trend, the recent MGSV TPP update version 1.04 has still failed to fix the multiple Sony Entertainment Network save corrupting bug as numerous users are still being affected.

This news is quite shocking as Konami?s online information notice about the save corrupting bug has been removed already. If you are still unaware about the bug, here is Konami?s online information notice about it:

?We have been made aware of cases where playing METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN with multiple SEN accounts on a single PlayStation?4 system can result in the message ?This save data cannot be used, as the relevant downloadable content was not found? being displayed when attempting to resume a saved game, making it impossible to start the game.? We sincerely apologize, but we must request that only a single SEN account per PlayStation?4 system be used to play the game.?

Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain is available for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
