Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain DLC has now been released and the new costumes not only provide cosmetic changes but they also give special perks. The MGS5 TPP DLC has been announced since the first live gameplay of Metal Gear Online was shown at Tokyo Game Show 2015 and you can now nab these costumes if you?re willing to spend a few cash for them.
The newly released costumes for decorating Punished ?Venom? Snake or other soldiers and your horse can now be bought for $0.99 each. A costume pack can be availed for $4.99, enabling you to save $2 if you plan the add-ons one-by-one. You can purchase the costume DLC add-ons on your respective platform?s store.
According to Siliconera, some costumes actually have special perks that help you in?FOB invasions. The Naked Snake and The Boss Sneaking Suits renders players? heatwaves to be undetectable by Night Vision Goggles, the report said.
Costumes that do not provide special perks are The Fatigues, Jumpsuit (EVA), Tuxedo, Western Trak, and Parade Tack. Take note that the female outfits can be zipped or unzipped for ?tactical advantage? as reported previously by GameSpot.
According to SIliconera, these DLC costumes are not available for use in Metal Gear Online.?They also can’t be worn by your buddy Quiet.
Most of the new DLC costumes are actually from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. The Naked Snake outfits were available camo costumes for Naked Snake ?Big Boss? while the Tuxedo is an unlockable item costume in the game. The brown jumpsuit was worn by EVA during MGS3 and the white jumpsuit was worn by The Boss.
