Recently, a listing for Metal Gear Solid 5 Definitive Ex was spotted on Amazon. Nobody knows much about this surprise reveal, but the listing has since been taken down. Could it include the missing Chapter 3 from Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain?
According to Helifornia?s thread on the NeverBeGameOver Reddit, Metal Gear Solid V Definitive Ex was found on both Amazon Japan and Amazon UK. The Metal Gear Solid product was confirmed to be from Konami and was listed as a video game, according to Sinkan.net. The listing states that it will be released on December 31 this year, but it may have been just a placeholder.
The games now have broken links because the listings have been taken down from the sites. It?s highly possible that it was a mistaken reveal of Konami?s next Metal Gear video game, outside the Metal Gear pachislot game. GameSpot has confirmed the sudden removal in their report.
As Chapter 3 was missing in The Phantom Pain, some fans felt it was rushed and it missed a large part of the game?s story. It?s possible that the spotted Metal Gear Solid 5 Definitive Ex game may cover such missing part of the story. If Chapter 3 does appear in this game, Metal Gear fans may finally have some closure on Kojima?s Metal Gear and give Konami?s version of the game a shot.
Alternatively, fans suspect that Metal Gear Solid 5 Definitive Ex is just a bundle of The Phantom Pain and Ground Zeroes. However, this move would not make sense as Phantom Pain is still fairly new and has good graphics that?s still apt for the current gen console. Konami may have something in store if they?re planning to release the game again as part of a bundle. If not, such move may practically be ignored by the game?s fans, as owning another copy without any unique bonuses may just be a waste of money.
