Maureen O’Hara was definitely one of the most sought after actresses of her time. In her career spanning over 50 years, she delivered some really commendable performances which includes The Quiet Man How Green Was My Valley among others. Unfortunately she passed away on Saturday at the age of 95 and the cause for her death is said to be natural reason.

?Maureen was our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family as they celebrated her life listening to music from her favorite movie, ‘The Quiet Man,? a family statement said.

In the statement announcing O?Hara?s death, it said that composer Victor Young?s music for this film, her favorite, was playing at her bedside when she died, reported LA Times.

The Quiet Man: A romantic-drama, this movie was about a man who returns to his birthplace to regain his family?s farm but ends up falling in love with the landlord?s sister which was played by Maureen.

How Green Was My Valley: Adapted by a novel by Richard Llewellyn, revolved around the coal mining community in Wales. O?Hara essayed the role a woman who had to choose between two men who were in love with her.

Miracle on 34th Street: Revolving around Christmas, ??O?Hara was seen playing the? Macy’s employee who comes to believe his fanciful tale is true.

The Parent Trap: This feel good film was about two sisters who meet each other at a summer camp and realise that they are sisters. The part of their parents was played by ?O?Hara and Brian Keith.

Only The Lonely: In this movie Maureen essayed the role of a mother, and her performance was appreciated by one and all.

Maureen might not be with us today but she will surely live in everyone?s heart through her performance and films.
