Pre-ordering Mass Effect Andromeda will allow players to get some DLC exclusive equipment, which can be helpful during the early parts of their playthrough. However, most of the items in single-player don’t get directly inserted to the player’s inventory and must be claimed on the Tempest. Here’s how to get your pre-order items in Mass Effect Andromeda.
Mass Effect Andromeda DLCs
According to the official Mass Effect Andromeda site, the Deluxe and Super Deluxe Edition will get some DLC equipment, boosts, and other items to use early on. However, players will have to progress until they have access to the Tempest to claim their single-player items.
There are also Pre-order items for the standard version of the game. These include the Deep Space Explorer Armor, Nomad Skin, and the multiplayer booster pack. Both the Deluxe and Super Deluxe Edition has more items in store for players. Below are all the DLCs included in both deluxe editions.
- Deep Space Explorer Armor
- Nomad Skin
- Multiplayer Booster Pack
- Pathfinder Casual Outfit
- Scavenger Armor
- Pathfinder Elite Weapon Set (4)
- Pet Pyjak
- Digital Soundtrack
- Multiplayer Deluxe Launch Pack
- Multiplayer Super Deluxe Booster Packs (Super Deluxe exclusive)
How To Claim DLC
At the start of the game, players will be thawed out of cryosleep to wake up the Pathfinder to do his mission. The Mass Effect Andromeda DLC equipment and items won’t be available during this point. New players will be introduced to the game’s hub world and prologue mission before they reach the Tempest.
Mass Effect Andromeda Lead Designer Ian Frazier confirmed on his Twitter that players can claim the DLC items on the Tempest. Players will need to find the Special Delivery terminal onboard to take the DLC items and start using them. Equipping these DLC bonuses can be done through the Loadout terminals in the game.
Standard Edition DLC
Meanwhile, Mass Effect Andromeda Producer Michael Gamble also confirmed that everyone who pre-ordered Standard Edition copies should have some DLC waiting for them. Players are encouraged to ask their retailers for these codes if they weren’t provided with one.
Mass Effect Andromeda Equipment
Using good Mass Effect Andromeda equipment and weapons are crucial as side quests and missions usually require the players to fight. Optimizing equipment makes these missions easier as you can eliminate enemies faster. The Mass Effect Andromeda DLC bonuses can have the players covered if they’re having a hard time in the early game.
Meanwhile, Standard Edition players also have an edge as players found an early game chest in the starting hub. Players can save before opening it and reload their file until they get a weapon they like. Players won’t have to worry much about having a hard time with these bonuses and this early game trick around.
