Mass Effect: Andromeda has been in production for a pretty long time now. And unsurprisingly, the latest in the Mass Effect franchise is one of the most highly anticipated games for 2017.

But with delays and release dates getting dates becoming more of an industry standard, rather than an anomaly, we can only hope that is does come out this year. But when it does come out, there?s a chance that it may arrive on the Nintendo Switch.

Michael Gamble is the series producer for Mass Effect and he has recently opened up on the possibility of a Nintendo Switch port for Mass Effect: Andromeda in an interview with Stevivor. With the Nintendo Switch set for launch in just a few months, many fans have been wondering just what games will be making it on the new innovative console.

Gamble initially shoots down thoughts of releasing Mass Effect: Andromeda on the Nintendo Switch. He?may not have any plans on releasing the game on the Nintendo Switch right now, but it certainly is ?not impossible. Gamble says: ?Yeah, not right now, no…We?re not planning on it. If the Switch launches and everyone?s just yammering for Mass Effect, who knows…We never want to close doors like that.?

Microsoft?s upcoming Scorpio console is also facing the same situation the Nintendo Switch is in. Gamble opens up that there are currently no plans for the Scorpio right now. But follows up that this may not be the case in the future.

As of right now, it’s pretty unlikely that Mass Effect: Andromeda will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. And this is mainly due to the fact that the Wii-U was a big flop and the Nintendo Switch is still an untested console regardless of its current hype. Its understandable that EA and Bioware would be reluctant to invest in a Nintendo Switch port.

But however, if Switch does well and enough demand for the Mass Effect: Andromeda rises for the Switch then things may soon change.?
